Styling.

When you ride a Ski-DooÆ snowmobile, you're riding with more than simply a well-engineered engine and suspension. Here are a few additional reasons why Ski-Doo snowmobiles provide excellent value for your money.

Aluminum Chassis.

Almost all Ski-Doo snowmobiles have a light, torsionally strong aluminum chassis that's produced and precision-fitted by robots in our highly automated factory for a level of quality, fit and finish that we'll proudly put up against any manufacturer. Supertrax magazine said it best when they stated that "Ski-Doo has probably the most advanced snowmobile chassis building facility in North America - maybe the world."

RRIM/Polyurethane Hoods.

The RRIM/Polyurethane we use on our hoods is a higher-cost, higher-quality material than the RIM/Metton used by the competition. RRIM/Polyurethane's superior durability and resiliency helps our hoods maintain amazing "bounce-back" flexibility down to -40 degrees.

New High-Visibility Whiteface Gauges.

In '97 we've improved our gauges, adding large, easy-reading whiteface gauges with orange backlighting and bold numbers on several Ski-Doo snowmobiles.

Wind-Tunnel Tested Windshields.

We never stop improving. As an example, we went back to the wind tunnel and found a way to modify the windshields on models equipped with our S-2000 configuration. The result? Greater comfort for the rider, without increasing aerodynamic drag that robs performance.

Four-Way Stretch Fabric Seat.

Now even more Ski-Doo seats are made of the same special fabric as our ultra-luxurious Grand Touring SE model. It stretches in all four directions, providing greater "give" and more comfort - even at extremely cold temperatures.

Formed Shape Rear Bumper.

A simple idea, but a smart one. Our rear bumper on one-up sleds is shaped at an upward curve. It not only provides better protection for the rear taillight, but also offers you an easy place to grip your sled should you become stuck in deep snow.

Aluminum Idler Wheels.

Aluminum idler wheels are more durable than the plastic idlers that the competition uses, and more expensive, too. It's just another example of how spending the extra dollar now reduces aggravation later.
