Dear Ski-Doo Owner,

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Act, the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act and other applicable laws.

What is the reason for this notice?
In cooperation with Transport Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. (“BRP“) are conducting a voluntary safety recall of certain Ski-Doo models. Our records indicate that you are the owner of a potentially affected vehicle.

What is the potential problem?
BRP received two reports of a pierced and leaking fuel hose. No injury or other damage was reported. After investigation, it was determined that in some circumstances, on above-mentioned vehicles, a fuel hose may wear and eventually pierce, due to possible friction between the fuel hose and the cylinder head cover. If a fuel hose is pierced, fuel may spill out and in some circumstances, create a fire hazard and potentially cause serious injuries or death.

What should you do?
Immediately stop using your vehicle, call an authorized BRP dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle repaired. He will inspect fuel hose for possible wear and:

  • If no wear mark, install protector tubing and align fuel hose
  • If a wear mark is noticed, replace hose, cover new fuel hose with protector tubing and align hose.

The dealer will perform this work at no charge to you.
