Top 5 must-have accessories for backcountry snowmobiling

As a Ski-Doo ambassador, Dave Norona has been riding snowmobiles in the backcountry for years. He has experience with various types of gear. Here are his Top 5 must-have accessories for backcountry snowmobiling!

Deep snow riders need special accessories to protect their machine from obstacles hidden under the snow and to provide improved grab points to help them get out if they get stuck. This would include items such as a skid plate to increase the protection of the underbelly of the sled from rocks, stumps or posts; along with an accessory bumper, front or rear, with increased height for easy access in deep snow and improved strength for pulling and lifting.

To ensure your feet are stable and fixed on your sled while you rip through the snow.

Riders often choose to change the height of the handlebars according to their preference or size through a fixed or adjustable riser block. Ski-Doo offers several types of riser blocks to suit everyone's needs.

Installing a cargo bag, like the Deep snow pro bag, is handy to carry extra items with you, be it extra gloves, goggles, water and food, or any must-have items that you choose to carry. Ski-Doo also offers a full line of LinQ cargo bags for all sleds to suit your needs.

Every vehicle needs a go-to tool kit and the Deluxe tool kit will meet all your needs, because you never know when you, or a riding buddy, might need it!
