Hometown: Weare, New Hampshire

Current sled: 2021 Backcountry XRS and 2021 Renegade XRS

Background: You’d be hard pressed to find a person who wears his passion for the sport of snowmobiling and the Ski-Doo brand any louder and prouder than John Gibbs. A lifelong snowmobiler who lives and breathes anything and everything remotely close to the sport, Gibbs brings that excitement – and his hearty New England accent – to every other snowmobiler he encounters. A resident of Weare, New Hampshire, you’ll find him enjoying the spoils of those legendary Nor’easters every chance he gets.

Favorite type of terrain to ride: I ride a pretty healthy mix of trail and off trail – and I love it all!

What’s your “regular” job? I’m a builder and owner of my own construction company.

Interests and hobbies outside of snowmobiling: Beyond sleds, I also ride ATVs, Side-by-Sides, Sea-Doo watercraft and enjoy hiking, camping, racing and pretty much anything to do with the outdoors and sports.

What does That Ski-Doo Feeling mean to you? That Ski-Doo feeling means spending time with friends and family out in the woods riding and spending time together promoting and supporting the sport. There's something very special about being in God's Country in the winter.

What motivates you to be an Ambassador? What motivates me to be an Ambassador is promoting the brand and growing the sport so that it is around for future generations. I know what my father instilled in me about snowmobiling and some of my best memories are riding Ski-Doo sleds with my dad. For 39 years Ski-Doo has been a part of my life and some of my fondest memories are riding with family and friends. I love Ski-Doo, what they stand for and everything they put into trying to give every rider the best snowmobiling experience and that’s something I want to be a part of. It’s a passion. It’s a yearning inside to show people what Ski-Doo is all about and the future of snowmobiling.

Favorite Ski-Doo model of all time: 2006 MXZ X 600 and 800

How long have you been riding snowmobiles? I have been riding for 39 years… nothing but Ski-Doo!

What’s the most fun you’ve ever had on a sled? Most fun I’ve ever had on a sled was when all our friends and family backpacked from cabin to cabin out in the wilderness riding through storms and all different types of terrain. We all had so many laughs and so much fun. A lot of my best memories come from snowmobiling and Ski-Doo has always been a big part of that.

Current SHV (Sled Hauling Vehicle): 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD 4x4

Favorite NFL team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Favorite season: Winter (obviously)

Favorite food: Ice cream lol

Dream travel destination: British Columbia… Carl Kuster Mountain Park sounds nice.

What do you love about BRP? I love BRP as a whole for what they do and offer us hardworking people to enjoy the great outdoors on. They have a machine to fit all seasons outside and it all spells one word: FUN! I love their mission, their goals and am so excited to see what the future of FUN brings. I enjoy all BRP outdoor products from the machines to the gear to the accessories. They are the industry leader and innovator. Being outside and having fun is so important and BRP is a huge advocate of that and I love it.
