A Ski-Doo She Shed

A she shed full of sleds that would put most Ski-Doo man cave's in their place, MJ Thompson's garage is part workshop, part museum and all Ski-Doo. Step inside with this sled historian and take a look.

The RV

What many consider the best looking Ski-Doo sleds ever were built on the RV platform. Initially built for winning on the oval racetrack, BRP engineers knew they had something special for everyday riders as well with the RV's wide, stable ski stance and lower, centralized engine mass. MJ Thompson brings you the rest of the Ski-Doo RV story.

Blizzard History

Nearly every decade of Ski-Doo snowmobile production has featured the Blizzard name. From the early 1970s to today, what started as a sled built to dominate race tracks has evolved into one of the most advanced sleds to travel the trails. As we like to say, "Born on the track. Bred for the trail." Take a tour of some of the rarest of the Blizzard breed: the 1970 and 1978.

Vintage Sled Q&A with MJ Thompson

I grew up with vintage and classic cars and had a natural appreciation for stuff like that. But it wasn't until the end of my snowcross career that my passion for vintage sleds really developed. My friend and business partner, Bill Fullerton, was a definite influence. From the second he loaned me his Elan I was hooked. I had to have one of my own.

I have a modest collection of 5 vintage sleds. I actually don't even think of myself as a collector, more of a vintage enthusiast. I enjoy putting them through the rigors of real riding. It makes for a lot of work to keep them in original running condition, but it’s worth it. I'm a sucker for any clean old runner that might add a bit of diversity to my lineup.

I honestly can't pick a favorite. It just wouldn't be fair! I have a deep appreciation for what each sled brings to the party whether it’s design, utility, camaraderie or performance.
